santa cruzin'

so now we come to today.... waking up in big sur... and hiking down a trail to make coffee and drink it while the sun was warming up our backs and the ocean was filling up our hearts.
it was time to start heading north.(that's UP!) to monterey. breakfast and the 17 mile drive were up next. cypress trees everywhere. if they were mini, i would decorate our place with them!! (or if we had a bigger place.)

and now we get to...... aquarium time!!! we'll let these pictures do the talking.....leaving there hungry (for seafood)... we set off to santa cruz to go to THE MYSTERY SPOT! but alas... it was not meant to be.....
