and what a start it was...

now that we got the breakdowns out of the way... were ready for the real fun to begin. yes. that's right. poor tall guy's battery died in victoria while waiting in line at the ferry terminal....

after they brought us in the jumper machine and that failed to work... the nicest little tracker i've ever met, seemed to give tall guy the spark that he needed to make it on the boat!

while on board ... we had it charged for our whole trip.
we were feeling so lucky and on top of the world. (we almost didn't make the ferry)

when we pulled into port angeles. we tryed to start up..... and ..... nothing.... yup,... that's right... NOTHING......

we had to be pushed out.... by 10 seamen. and then pushed to the customs by a tractor... all infront of the curious and amused eyes of soon to be coho passengers.....after an evil potato confiscation.... we were left with a dead battery on a long weekend sunday...
wtf!

near tears now.... hunter pat comes into the picture and saves the day by selling us his deep cycle marine battery out of his own rig (he liked to use that word alot!!!) for 200 bucks american. which believe it or not.. is not as bad a deal as it seems. infact .. we feel quite lucky!

we are now in seaside.... in a hotel parking lot for thier free wifi. (thanks for the tip tex!)
and what is on the agenda now you ask?...

running around this town and checking things out... before we find a nice spot to settle in for the night....

see you soon....
