it's a good thing we're very loyal bloggers... cuz internet access hasn't been too easy to find.
morro bay is where we are now. and gonna stay.. (the night!)
so... where did we leave off last...? oh yeah... we were in petaluma.....it might be grant's favorite city so far...
since it was founded in the 1850's it's full of amazing looking buildings and the coolest antique store we've ever seen. and how could i forget... a big bbq full of meat.... grant was in heaven.
this was the beginning of the heat wave. (91 degrees)
on to san francisco... foggy foggy san francisco... we just dropped on in for .. oh... ten minutes or so.... enough time to get a quick look at colourful haight street, buy a phone card at the craziest liquer store ever, sweat a bunch and leave just in time for rush hour traffic. oh... and get lost... i thought i was getting really good at reading maps.. but apparently i'm just good at looking at them.
after the lovely san francisco traffic jams... we got to head on up to "the ranch" in san juan batista.

what an amazing place that was. beautiful garden. beautiful view. and beautiful people....
merlyn even read to us from the new book he's working on... how lucky are we?!
so this morning.. we decided it was time for us to move on.. off we set... stopping along the way to run down to the beach and play... but as soon as i kick off my boots. and start to skip around... those thieving waves snuck up and stole them.. (or almost).... i did manage to get them back... but the sea had already slobbered all over them. i think this is good luck. or at least i'm telling myself that!!!
BIG SUR!!! BIG SUR!!! BIG SUR!!!! we finally got there. we didn't want to leave. but fate... our lovely friend... always seems to have a new an exciting plan for us.... and that brings us to morro bay....
too tired to write more now (and so is the computer)... but we will soon enough. and don't worry about us at all... we're having the best time and enjoying every minute!

The ranch looks splendid!!! Why would you leave that place? You should become full time squatters. I'm loving how much you're blogging and how much fun you're having!

i guess you have to be good in Moral Bay....ouch...
useful tip: leave off the scarf and stockings on the 90 degree days....
